David serves as the Executive Director for several U.S. and global initiatives focused on Great Commission Living empowered by Great Commandment Love. In the faith community, the Great Commandment Network serves more than 20 denominations and para-church ministries through pastoral care, training strategies and resource development.

David is a member of the Oxford Society of Scholars and has authored more than 25 books, including Relational Foundations, Relational Discipleship, Intimate Encounters, Great Commandment Principle, Keeping Marriages Healthy, Relational Leadership and Business as Unusual. He was ordained into pastoral ministry in 1979 and served in local church ministry for 10 years before transitioning into para-church ministry.

David serves on various national and international initiatives and boards including the Awakening America Alliance Cabinet, Empowered 21 Global and U.S. Cabinets, Garden Tomb Council in Jerusalem/London, The Marriage CoMission US Steering Committee, The Fatherhood CoMission, NextGen Imperative and the Relational Values Alliance.

David and his wife, Teresa are the co-founders of the Great Commandment Network and Relational Values Alliance and have conducted training and coaching events for ministers & business leaders from more than 50 countries. They have 3 adult children, 7 special grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. They reside in Austin, Texas.

• Rule #1 - If the treatment is killing the Patient, STOP the TREATMENT! PASTORS, limiting our Discipleship to a RATIONAL/BEHAVIORAL faith is KILLING the Church!
• Explore implications and strategies from the Relational Hermeneutic Jesus champions from Mt 22:40; Scripture has BOTH Objective Meaning AND Relational Significance; Discipleship OUTCOMES must be RELATIONAL and impossible to live apart from the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.
• Explore 40 Discipleship Outcomes and a Church-wide Assessment drawn from the Ephesians 4:12 calling to EQUIP SAINTS for works of MINISTRY/SERVING; Engage an Early Church Age-Stage process of discipleship that multiplied the Church dramatically across the known World.
