Robert E. Coleman is distinguished professor of evangelism and discipleship
at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. For many years he served as dean of the
Billy Graham International Schools of Evangelism as well as director of the
Billy Graham Center Institute of Evangelism at Wheaton College. He was also
professor of evangelism at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where he
directed the School of World Mission and Evangelism.
Dr. Coleman is a graduate of Southwestern University, Asbury Theological
Seminary, and Princeton Theological Seminary, and has a PhD from the
University of Iowa. He has received honorary doctorates from Trinity
International University and Asbury Theological Seminary.
He is a founding member of the Lausanne Committee of World Evangelization and
a past president of the Academy for Evangelism in Theological Education. He
presently serves on the Facilitation Committee of Mission America and several
international mission boards.
Twenty-four books and hundreds of articles have come from Dr. Coleman's pen.
His books have been published in many languages around the world. A seasoned
teacher, pastor, and evangelist, he hopes to be remembered simply as a disciple
of Christ.
